Dear Amitji All user are use to with ERP9 since long they were using and suddenly Tally has made so much changes in Prime. So It is little difficult to cop-up. That's why finding ERP9 compatibility of Menu, Keys etc. Lighter note.. You are use to with your wife since you married to her and suddenly she change drastically...
Dear Bipinbhai, Old is Gold..... And as regards Tally...change is good, it is keeping up with times. Nobody thought the same way when they first used Tally. I have worked from Tally DOS ver 4.5 to now, and during these 4 MAJOR iterations (Prime being the 5th), nobody said or complained about compatibility issues. It is only due to TDL that such backward compatibility is possible. But I personally think ONE must embrace the new and modern things.
Also if one thinks restrospectively......... In earlier days of tally, there was not much automation....... nowadays Rules and Compliances have changed a lot. Now it is compulsory to have all pertinent details in Masters like PAN/GST/VAT/address/ and Bank details (if required) because there are many facilities in built and available and also necessary. And hence keeping that in mind, the BULK creation has been disbanded. Unless one is using tally only for simple DR/CR entries and plain old fashioned book keeping, then it is okay. Otherwise people can use BULK Master creation and then again they will have to go back to individual Masters to input all the required details.
Amitji Yes, changes are always need of the time and it should be.. otherwise we will be outdated... I totally agree with your view and everyone also. The question is not only of Multiple creation of ledger etc But changing key, merging of key, removing and make hide of key and menu are little difficult to understand & impliment by regular users too... This is my personal view... And because of the same many of the user have not shifted to Prime no doubt in future they have to... There is no other option...
If regularly used on daily basis.... 1-2 months are enough for all to get used to new version. Same way we got used to the other previous 4 iterations of Tally.
I am using MS Excel (also used Lotus 123). In latest version of excel I am pressing Alt+E (Edit Menu) than I (Fill) than S (series) for Fill Series and its works since Office 2000. and in TallyPrime, only few short keys changed since Tally ERP9. (we have to change some habit from A,L,C to C,L,Enter to Create Ledger, but Alt+C is still working) Old is Gold But we can see more shining in TallyPrime
I am not opposing changes in Tally Prime, But sudden & drastic changes keep user away to accept & adopt product. Just check rendomally how many Tally ERP9 user switch to Tally Prime till today. Anyway, I rest my thoughts on this topic here. Thank you, Be Safe, Be Strong & Stay Home.
I think multi create and multi alter is already there in tally prime under gateway> chart of accounts >ledgers>Alt+H
Yes it is.... that is why the Above code is working. Many underutilized or unwanted features are shifted to other areas.
Above code was posted as short cut, as it is not readily available as it was available in Tally ERP 9.
Good Idea Sirjee. Accepting a change is always an issue but it all depends on how strong the developer is. Do you see any time Microsoft has gone back to previous releases? Ruthlessly they will carry forward their design concepts same way Tally should follow. I do understand, as user and as developer we certainly have difficulties but one must understand that design changes are naturally asking for few drastic decisions. Let's wait for some period all of us as well as market shall accept it. Let's believe in Tally's design and development capabilities. After all we all are applied users. By the way, I have an idea of using this utility as a selling tool by providing it to those who cripple for such hardly used feature Thanks Rajesh ji.
dear sir, how to clear calculator panel in Prime. In tally .erp 9 we reload the data in the data config that is cleared. but how to clear in prime
