i want to create udf in stock master to save default purchase price for the items.and then i want to import stockitem master from excel and save price straight in to that udf field.how to do this? can any one help me?
Hi Ketan. There is already default Purchase price for Each item as Standard Cost in StockItem Master. Just Enable it In F12 in item Master Itself. Allow std. Rates for Stock Item. And Related To Importing you can find my earler Post How to Import From Excel. Just Go throuh that you will get Fare Idea.
thanks for your response. but my need is little bit different. yes i know there is a facility in tally for standard rate for the purchase items. but it has the date scenario while i have the different rate for the same item by phase. so same time i may need to select different phase price for the same purchase when i enter my purchase. like we have item called cable - for phase 29 we may have different price. phase - 30 we may have different price. now at a same time we are working on two projects one is for phase 29 and one is for phase 30 so i can not select date wise scenario for the std.rate. i need to create udf field so i can store std. rate for each phase separately and run time i can select phase according to my need. also as i have more than 500 items it will be time consuming job to enter each rate manually so. how to import directly from excel to those udf field which can be directly attached to stock item master. i hope you can give me some idea on this. thanks for your time
