    Description

The focus of this course is on the core concepts and syntax of Julia. It’s ideal for someone who wants to learn how to do all the basic things quickly and easily. This could be someone who’s entirely new to coding or someone coming in from another language.

The popular online IDE replit is used in this course. It’s an excellent learning tool. That means zero setup time! You can start coding right away, just by signing up for free and creating a project file known as a repl, without the hassle of spending time installing Julia on your machine.

Enjoy the easy-to-understand to-the-point video lectures explaining simple topics. Have a try yourself! Run the code after watching the lecture, and try adding new arguments to get a good grasp of the concepts.

I’ve covered, strings, math, arrays, functions, conditionals, loops, and more. These topics help you dive into learning the Julia programming language and are a great place to start your journey. Having a good base through this course will help you put your right foot forward as you continue learning.

All the explanations and code are kept as simple as possible. This makes it possible to clearly and easily understand everything.

    Who this course is for:

    • Someone learning to code can learn basic concepts from this course
    • Someone coming in from a different language who wants to learn the core syntax quickly and easily

Here on Proglang Main Street , my main goal is to provide clear concise easy to understand hands-on coding courses. The courses explain easy concepts and code that you can run and edit right in your browser, smartphone or tablet. This is because I will always be using an online IDE called replit.

By making my courses this way I’m always sure that students get to use and run the exact same code that I’m teaching them about in the same environment. How many times have you done a coding tutorial and tried to run a code only to find it doesn’t work? That’s never going to happen to any of my students in a course. They can run the exact same code. Also, I recommend editing the code which will make learning hands on.

I think the more programming languages and concepts you learn, the better programmer you become. One of the hassles in doing this stuff, is setting up the environment. That’s why I focus on using online tools like replit to make learning simpler and easier by removing a major barrier to entry. Start coding and learning right away with zero set-up time. Happy Learning!
