Screenshots.......... View attachment 3487 View attachment 3488 Change all..... Invisible : $Parent! = @@GroupHead TO This............ Invisible : Not ($$IsBelongsTo:$$GroupInvestments) However it is not advised......... BECAUSE....normal accounting conventions.... you will have "Mutual FUNDS", "SHARES", "FIXED DEPOSITS", "BONDS" etc as sub-group under Investments...... so adopting above method.. it will ask for details every time you open a Ledger under Investments Group. If any experts do know how to identify and point at "Insurance Policies" which is a sub-group under INVESTMENTS Group, do let me know how to code that. I have defined "Insurance Policies" under Investments group and hard-coded to this group only. I do not understand your need to have further sub-group under this group. If you want to identify policies you can use Ledger naming convention like "LIC # 12415111321", "HDFC # 994154154566", MaxBupa # 5454165465454" and so on. I have 30+ years of experience in Accounts & Finance field and hence I know the futility of your opening sub-groups under "Insurance Policies", because it serves no visible purpose. The above code changes will work for you with having multiple sub-groups under "Insurance Policies", but the downside is it will ask these details for all ledgers opened under "INVESTMENTS" Group. Revision CODE # 5 attached with some minor changes in report format as well as the above changes.
Dear Amit Kamdar, Thank You so much Sir. As you said, the other Investments heads also are asking for the details. But for me, I have accounted all the Insurance Policies of my family members separately. That is why I have asked for the Sub Group. Once again Thanks Sir

I have also activated Range and Value Filters........so you can also filter as per policyholder's name or have a consolidated family report.
Version 6....... Added : Color coded lines for Policies which are full paid. Added : Sum Assured Total Added : Last Premium Date column (+/- few days due to Leap Year) BUT it includes 30 days grace period. Calculated as per PPT in Master. Added : Premium Paid Opening Balance (as at beginning of year) Altered : "Balance payable this Year" Column - formula revised. Altered : Due Date column...which will show status of "FULLY PAID UP" Policies.
next.....to restrict / prevent PAYMENT entries for "Fully Paid Up" policies......but have no damn clue how to proceed....... let's see.... Idea is germinated....but not seeded........
Dear Amit Kamdar, Other Investments like Bonds, Fixed Deposits etc., cane be grouped under Investment - omitting "s" letter in Investments and creating under primary Asset group. Once again Thanks for the enhancement you have made.
Hi Amit Kamdar Ji Please Share Detail , How To Use This in Tally. Please Give Details or Share if You Have This Video. Thank You
There are no videos. Please refer to my earlier posts on how to use it. Load the TDL, then open appropriate ledgers under appropriate group and then fill the details as required in the Master. Please read my various earlier posts and images which are self explanatory.
