   I have customized sales invoice and added new column VAt+Rate in it. every thing is working fine but whenever I select Item in invoice curser moved to date field. How can I rectify this disturbing curser movement?

   in field level use inactive instead of invisible

   If you use Invisible based on conditions at field level, cursor will go to first field in the screen. So it is better to use Inactive instead of Invisible.
   
   But be aware of differences between Invisible and Inactive
